This Podcast Episode is focused on Revelation Chapter 22:10. “And he (he is the Angel of the Messiah) said to me; “Do not seal this book, for the time is at hand.” This book is the only book in the bible, where God gave the instruction to “not seal” it. In light of this, the contents of the book must contain vitally important information for the human race. Given these points, it shows that God wants to ensure the human race has access to it.
Uniquely, Revelation is so important that punishments are given to anyone who alters the book. Revelation 22:18-19, The Angel said to John; “for I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book; If anyone adds to these things God will add to him the plagues that are written in the book.” By the same token, God said that he will take away a person’s name from the Book of Life, and from the Holy City if they remove any words from the book.
All things considered, an analysis of all the books in the bible, to include the book of Revelation is needed. Therefore, I started my process by analyzing the following 5 elements:
- The Torah.
- The Prophets
- The Writings
- The Gospels
- The writings of the Apostles
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, are the books that are known as Torah. God gave these books to Moses during the 40 days and nights Moses was on Mount Sinai.
The instructions in these books are a guide manual, so to speak. The manual tells us what God requires of our behaviors to become a part of His Kingdom. For example, we needed to learn how to recognize God’s appointed days for celebrations. Coupled with understanding the importance of them and why we celebrate them. The manual also teaches us how to celebrate them.
Firstly, the manual explains to us the importance of practicing godly behaviors. Secondly, the manual teaches us how to dress, eat, and conduct our finances and business practices. Equally important, the manual provides instructions on all things that pertains to how to worship God.
Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi are the books of the Prophets. After Moses died, GOD used these men to be his voice to His people. For example,1 Kings tells us, when, why and how God divided the tribes of Israel into two kingdoms through the prophet Ahijah.
In Samuel, King David’s nephew, Jonathan killed the giant brother to Goliath. Additionally, in Judges the tribe of BenjamIn savagely raped another man’s wife causing her death. This caused war between Benjamin and the eleven tribes of Israel. Resulting in the death of 25,000 men from Benjamin’s tribe.
All in all, in these books of the Prophets, future events of the world is foretold. And many of the prophesies manifest into reality hundreds to thousands of years later.
The writings consist of the books of Psalms, Proverbs, Job, the Song of Songs (aka Solomon), Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles. In these books, we see personal relationships being formed between GOD and man. In them mankind seeks to have a bonding relationship with GOD.
For instance, the relationship between Daniel and GOD. While in Babylon, Daniel prayed three times a day. Daniel asked God to forgive his and his peoples disobedience towards Him. And he asked God to tell him how long they would have to endure captivity in Babylon. In response to Daniel’s questions GOD sent his Angel to answer Daniels questions. The Angel of God told Daniel that he was a man dearly beloved by GOD.
Also, in the writings of Ezra and Nehemiah, they reveal to us that there is a false priesthood in the Levitical tribe. Consequently, the high priest of the Levitical tribe became corrupt. As a result, the high priest today is the Messiah, who God set up after the order of Melchizedek. Furthermore, the Messiah’s genealogy is traced to the line of Judah, and not to the genealogy of Levi.
Equally important, is when God sent His Prophet Gad to King David with a list of three items of punishment for King David to choose for Israel. Gad revealed to King David that God was punishing Israel because of the census that David took of Israel. In fact, Satan convinced David to take a census of Israel. And David did so without seeking God’s approval to do it.
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, are the written testimonies of each of these Apostles. For the most part, the Gospel of Luke was written from an investigative and confirmation standpoint witnesses to events at that time.
The Apostle Luke, was a physician who had converted to Judaism. Not only was he accepted as being a Jew, he was also trusted as being a follower of the Messiah. Given these points, the gospel according to the Apostle Luke was wholly accepted as being valid.
In Luke’s gospel, you see that Luke addressed his letter directly to the Roman Senator Theophilus. Therefore, Luke’s account of the events with Yeshua is documented from the experience of the other Apostles. In comparison, Matthew documented his experience directly to the Jewish community. Mark documented his experience to the Greek community. And John documented his experience in the realm of the Spiritual knowledge and understanding of God.
The Writings of the Apostles consists of the following books: The Acts of the Apostles, Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Thessalonians, Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, James, Peter, John, Jude, and Revelation. These books provide a testimony to the reader regarding the experiences of the apostles.
The Apostle’s writings encourage us through our spiritual battles. They comfort us through our times of sorrow, trials and tribulations. Furthermore, these writings remind us that our spiritual walk with GOD and the Messiah is not going to be a stroll in the park. Nevertheless, we are not alone, because many in past generations have walked this path and survived. And in this since, it provides us with hope, and strength to endure.
Revelation is specifically written for people who are living in the last days on earth. All in all, today, we are currently experiencing the culminations of God’s judgements daily. For instance, climate change. There isn’t enough money in the world to fix our climate problem. The earth is physically puking and crying out to God because it is physically sick. As a result, the earth is revolting against mankind.
Things that causes the earth to puke: Murders of the innocent, whether they be adults, children, or the unborn. Moreover, mankind is destroying he natural healing remedies God designed for the earth to heal itself, i.e. shell fish, swine, etc. God designed these things to clean the earth. Instead, mankind is eating them and they are not reproducing.
As a result of this, the book of Revelation tells us that God is currently sifting humanity. In essence, He is separating the wheat from the tares. The things we are doing will determine if we are among the wheat or the tares in God’s sifting process.
In the final analysis of all these books, our Creator, God, has given us two choices regarding our souls. They are life and death. In the same fashion God has appointed a reward for each choice. The reward for choosing life is an eternity in the presence of God, enjoying enumerable blessings from God.
Comparatively, the reward for choosing death is an eternal torment of an unquenchable fire and feeling the pain of worms that never die. Besides these two choices and these two rewards, there exist no others.
From a human perspective it may seem as if these two choices and rewards are very restrictive and unfair. In essence, however, God, designed our souls so that it it exists eternally for an eternal purpose; that purpose is to worship and serve God. By and large, if we refuse to adhere to the purpose of our creation then we are of no use to God. And this is why God wants us to choose life and not death.
Revelation is telling us, today is the day to stop now! Don’t take another step! Take the time now to contemplate the things we are doing in our lives. If we want life, then we must cease working against God and start working for God.
